Pre-Op Instructions

Preoperative Instructions:

• DO NOT EAT or DRINK for 4 hours before your injection.
• Arrange for someone to drive you home. Your driver/responsible adult must be at least 18 years old and remain onsite throughout your procedure.
• DO NOT drive for the remainder of the day after your procedure.
• Arrive to your procedure 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
• If your doctor deems necessary, your procedure could be cancelled and rescheduled if not medically safe to proceed.

Medication Instructions:

• If you are on a prescription blood thinners or antibiotics, notify us immediately by calling 678-539-6575 or 404-843-3323.
• If you take blood pressure medications, please take it with a sip of water prior to your procedure.
• If you have diabetes, check with your doctor about how to manage your medication and fasting.

Additional Instructions:

• Bring any MRI or X-ray film/CD with you to your procedure appointment.
• Wear comfortable clothing to your procedure. No dresses or skirts.
• Parking is a flat fee of $6.00.

We believe in excellent care! Please share with our nurses any special requests or needs so that we may provide you with outstanding care. We will review the discharge instructions with you before you are discharged and provide you a copy for home.
